Like most people, I usually make lists everyday of things I need to get done. I’ll write everything out in the morning, but then I often forget to check the list during the day or end up realizing I can’t complete certain tasks. Overall, it helps me stay on track and moving forward even if I can’t check everything off as completed at the end of the day. Having a list helps me make progress everyday. For March, I want to set goals for the whole month to improve over time and I thought I would share them with you. Each one can be broken down into daily tasks, so that I work towards the goal. I’ll touch on each in a little more after I list them.
This Month:
○ Write and create a blog post one time a week
○ Continue running 3x/week
○ Work on installing and prepping the garden beds to plant for the hillside garden
○ Research/find several local places to display my photo work
○ Learn more about SEO and work on applying it to my site
○ Draw everyday
‣Write and create a blog post one time a week. This month I want to work on updating my site more regularly with posts. I usually blog once in a while when I have work I want to share, but I want to write and share more of my work.
‣Continue running 3x/week. I started running consistently again in January and want to keep up this habit and hopefully improve my endurance and time. It helps to get outside and exercise when I’m doing a lot of computer work.
‣Work on installing and prepping the garden beds to plant for the hillside garden. I’ve got a lot of work to do to get it ready, but I’m looking forward to growing my own food. (if it’s successful :)). I’ll be making some videos of the process on my YouTube channel so go ahead and subscribe if you’re interested.
‣ Research/find several local places to display my photo work. I want to connect with more local businesses.
‣Learn more about SEO and work on applying it to my site. I’ve been working slowly on learning this, but have a lot I can improve on.
‣Draw everyday. I did this for over three months at the end of last year (2018). I should write a post on why I loved having this daily practice. I improve so much more than every once in a while deciding to open my sketchbook for more than lists and doodles and the occasional journal entry.
Do you set goals? Do you find that they help you to be more productive? Do you prefer monthly, weekly or daily? I always seem to change it up between all of those choices to keep myself motivated and moving towards things that I want to accomplish. I’ll try to update at the end of the month how the goals went and anything new I added or took away.
Still setting monthly goals, and it’s crunch time! We’re trying to frantically check off what’s left on our Ultimate Las Vegas Bucket List before we move.
