The North Carolina mountains are beautiful any time of the year, but they’re especially beautiful in the fall. Leaves lighting up the mountain tops and valleys, cooler weather. We spent the morning wandering along the Highway 64 scenic route towards Highlands, N.C., stopping in a couple spots as we went to shoot Elizabeth’s college senior graduation photos. I would highly suggest driving along this road and stopping to see some of the waterfalls or doing a few of the hikes. It’s a beautiful route any time of the year! This morning was overcast and we had light rain throughout as you can see in a few of the photos! I love the diffused lighting when it’s cloudy.
